Our Standards

We aim to conform to the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) 2.1 at Level AA. These guidelines explain how to make web content more accessible to people with disabilities, including visual, auditory, physical, speech, cognitive, language, learning, and neurological disabilities. Compliance with these guidelines also makes web content more usable for all users.

  • Video content includes captions where applicable
  • Sufficient colour contrast ratios throughout the interface
  • Content can be resized up to 200% without loss of functionality
  • No information is conveyed by colour alone

Operable

  • All functionality is accessible via keyboard navigation
  • No content flashes more than three times per second
  • Skip navigation links are provided for screen reader users
  • Focus indicators are visible on all interactive elements
  • Users have adequate time to read and interact with content

Understandable

  • Pages have clear, descriptive titles and headings
  • Error messages provide clear guidance on how to resolve issues
  • Forms include visible labels and instructions
  • Navigation is consistent across all pages
  • Language of the page is programmatically identified

Robust

  • Valid, semantic HTML markup throughout the Platform
  • ARIA attributes used where native HTML is insufficient
  • Compatibility with major screen readers (NVDA, JAWS, VoiceOver)
  • Regular testing with assistive technologies
  • Progressive enhancement approach for core functionality

MotorMatch is designed to be compatible with the following assistive technologies: screen readers (NVDA, JAWS, VoiceOver, TalkBack), screen magnification software, speech recognition software, and keyboard-only navigation.
